AMOANUA marked a pivotal moment for Ọ̀KẸ́ as our inaugural solo exhibition. Staged at the close of Black History Month, the one-day installation transformed the space into a sanctuary, a space where the rhythm of poetry and the weight of visual media converged a message to all. As a multidisciplinary poet, AMOANUA demonstrated a mastery of translation, bridging the gap between the written word and the visual plane to unveil the cultural wealth inherent in our shared stories.

The installation was designed as a living dialogue, featuring a curated collection of 16 photographs and 4 original poems that served as the exhibition's heartbeat. These static works were further animated by 2 poetry films, providing an immersive digital layer to the artist’s creative process.

AMOANUA stepped onto the stage for a live poetry performance, creating a visceral experience that brought the rhythm of the verse into the physical space, anchoring the audience in the present moment.
