About The Event
In Yoruba culture, there's a saying: "Eniyan l'aso," which translates to "humans are like clothing." This expression underscores the significance of receiving support and covering from others. Our purpose in organising this exhibition is to spotlight the human experience and emphasise the vital role of community within the black community that contributes to our excellence. As we celebrate Black History Month, a pivotal aspect of our history is the sense of community and the love that binds us all together. We aspire for this exhibition to show you the excellence in our community through the works of the featured artists - Zandra Jack, Aisha Jallow and Shaza Tarig
